A person becomes a member of the Church through baptism. The Anglican Church recognizes and accepts all who have been baptised from all Christian denominations. All who are baptised are able to receive all the sacraments of the church, including Holy Communion.

To become a member of Onslow Anglicans it is necessary for your name to be recorded upon the Parish Roll. Membership entitles you take a full part in the decision making processes of the parish. You may speak and vote at parish meetings and you may also stand for office: vestry, churchwarden, or synods representative. You will also be part of our regular mail-out to members.

There are requirements set by the diocese, our governing body, regarding those to be recorded on any parish roll. Namely:
• you may be on only one roll at a time.
• you must be baptised
• you must have been involved in the full life of the parish for at least four months.
• you will need to acknowledge allegiance to the authority of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia and to all the church’s lawful office holders.

Membership of Onslow Anglicans carries expectations. We expect you to:
• be a regular attender at worship
pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ
• be diligent in seeking to grow spiritually
• support our congregational activities
• support the parish financially (Christian Stewardship)

This form (in pdf format, 171kb) may be used if you wish to become a member and be recorded on the Parish Roll.
