Box Hill Kids is a high quality early childhood centre with a special Christian character. It provides an educational programme based on Te Whariki, Christian principles and traditions, and the individual strengths, interests and needs of the children that attend. It is a warm and caring place, which provides children with stimulation and challenge. It provides a modern, high-quality environment for children to learn and live in. During the course of the day, embedded within Te Whariki, we include grace before meals, and some biblical stories and Christian songs. A special teaching emphasis will be made at the time of the major festivals of Easter and Christmas. There is no intention or desire to indoctrinate children but we expose them to our traditions where appropriate and without apology. The centre is open from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm each week day. It provides space for thirty children, eight of whom can be under the age of two. As we receive quality funding rates we maintain quality adult:child ratios. Box Hill Kids is committed to employing well qualified staff. Box Hill Kids is a non-profit community-based organisation that is managed by a Board comprised of parish, parent and staff representatives.
